Director of Finance
Pathwell Health - PathWell Health is looking for a Director of Finance to join our team. At PathWell, we provide nursing and therapy services in patients' homes using best-in-class tech and processes commonplace in other industries. In addition to patient care, we're also developing technology and services that we sell to other home health agencies. As a Director of Finance, you will scale our financial operations and enhance reporting and analytics capabilities during a cycle of organic and acquisition growth. You'll report to the CFO and manage three people, including India-based employees. We're recruiting for this position in any one of our three offices (Fairfield, Connecticut; Winchester, Virginia; or Martinsburg, West Virginia) with the flexibility to work a portion of the time remotely. Responsibilities Accounting Revenue cycle, including billing and collection from Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Insurance and Private Payers Disbursement cycle including managing vendor arrangements Payroll cycle Monthly close and multi-entity consolidation Employee expense reporting Conformance and consistency with GAAP Reporting and Analysis Monthly reporting package KPI dashboards on a daily/weekly/monthly basis Periodic and annual budget/forecasting Bank reporting Regulatory reporting Other ad hoc analysis as requested Financial Operations/Compliance Manage the treasury operations, including banking, credit card, payroll processing, tax preparation advisors, and insurance broker relationships Tax returns Systems Manage ERP and coordination with other systems that feed data into the accounting and reporting functions (billing/payroll) Key Initiatives Assist with the assessment and upgrade/conversion from QB to a scalable ERP platform if needed Conversion to GAAP based financials Integration of legacy and acquired assets' systems and processes Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA or MBA. Big 4 or equivalent professional services background Three plus (3+) years of experience in a multi-entity growth company environment Healthcare industry experience preferred Acquisitions and integration experience preferred Key Skills & Competencies Core GAAP accounting background that can address accounting policy application and consistency related to converting cash to accrual accounting and more complex accounting policies such as revenue recognition An analytical mind that can manage and enhance basic financial reporting and extend/incorporate operational data into KPIs Expert Excel modeling skills Familiarity with business intelligence tools is a plus Demonstrates an operational orientation that includes the ability to develop relationships with and embrace the needs of the clinical operations and an understanding of regulatory compliance implications Familiar with the operation of and conversion of ERP systems and healthcare billing practices Effective manager and delegator -ability to maximize staff capabilities Communication skills that can translate financial and operating trends to senior management Firm grasp of financial operations - treasury/cashflow/banking; insurance; payroll, etc. with the ability to implement strong financial controls and monitor cash flow Confidence and ability to operate independently in an emerging growth company environment About Us PathWell Health is a growing technology-enabled home health care business deploying nurses and therapists into patients' homes to deliver quality care. Additionally, the Company sells an Agency Management Software and a Coding and OASIS Review solution to other home health agencies to drive operational efficiencies and improve patient outcomes. The Company recently closed on an acquisition, which expanded its care delivery operations from Connecticut to Virginia and West Virginia, two additional states. Combined Company revenue is $6.0M with 60 FTEs, including field clinicians and business and technology employees in the US and India.
