A successful candidate is a self-starter who requires little supervision, has the ability to handle competing time demands, and has excellent written and communication skills. Specific responsibilities include: Supporting the attorneys and other professionals who work closely with Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs on legislative and regulatory matters impacting CCB with a particular emphasis on assisting with the assessment and coordination of Legal feedback on proposed federal and legislation. Monitor and track developments resulting from advocacy work on proposed legislation Assist CCB Legal GRRA and its partners with the development of strategies to advance CCB legislative and regulatory priorities, and the tracking of progress on same Assist with disseminating information to CCB Legal regarding regulatory and legislative developments Legal research on laws and regulations impacting CCB, as well as drafting memoranda and summaries of legal research as necessary Providing support on special projects regarding regulatory and legislative developments and advocacy work related to same Qualifications 5 years of paralegal experience or relevant experience in a legal environment. Specific experience in banking and/or federal or state government is a plus. Paralegal certification or bachelor's degree Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Highly motivated and results oriented Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with peers, attorneys, and other business colleagues Strong competence with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to prepare written reports and presentations Preferred Skills Knowledge of collaboration tools like SharePoint Familiarity with consumer banking regulations Knowledge of state and/or federal legislative processes; federal regulatory rulemaking processesJPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the JP Morgan and Chase brands.
