Employment Type:Full timeShift:Rotating ShiftDescription:An experienced position for a certified surgical technician to help in specific areas associated with services in the Operating RoomJob Title:Lead Surgical TechEmployment Type/Shift:Full time, rotatingPosition Highlights:Competitive pay Additional Benefits: Relocation assistance, tuition reimbursement, free parkingQuality of Life:Flexible work schedulesAdvancement:Opportunities to advance through the Clinical Advancement ProgramLocation:Holy Cross Health has two hospitals and four healthcare centers all a short driving distance from Washington DC and Baltimore, MDGeneral Summary: Under general direction of the Service Line Coordinator (SLC) and in collaboration with Surgical Services leadership team, works collaboratively with key customers and stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the functions for the assigned Service.Responsible for assisting the SLC in the marketing of the assigned Service and Surgical Services at Holy Cross Hospital to existing and potential referral sources, including physicians, their office staffs, hospitals and community members.Supports the SLC in all matters related to equipment management associated with the Service to ensure peak performance.Scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team.Serves as the assistant coordinator and content expert for managing physician preferences and enhancing surgeon engagement and satisfaction with surgical operations, providing training and education for surgical staff and surgeons on the use of equipment.Assists with the development and coordination of physician service initiatives, communicating and collaborating with potential new and existing surgeons, office managers, and other appropriate personnel.Assists SLC in overseeing all clinical product trials.In collaboration with management team helps to facilitate day-to-day operations for anesthesia and surgical supply utilization.Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.What you will needRequired:-Completion of an approved technician program or previous technician experience of at least three years. -Certification as surgical technologist (CST) required within one year of accepting position.-High school diploma or equivalent.About us:Holy Cross Health is a Catholic, not-for-profit health system that serves more than 240,000 individuals each year from Maryland's two largest counties - Montgomery and Prince George's counties.
