Overview BRG is a rapidly growing, multiple hundred-million revenue organization with over 1,300 employees in 27 US cities and 15 countries. This is a superb opportunity for a motivated individual with energy, creativity and appropriate experience to be the core actor in BRGs treasury activities, since BRGs CFO holds the Treasurer title among other responsibilities. The Director, Treasury can be based in Dallas, the East San Francisco Bay area (Emeryville) or Washington, DC. The person in this role will likely have a hybrid work arrangement with time spent working from one or more BRG offices and from home. The Director, Treasury will have significant responsibilities in managing BRGs banking relationships and banking transaction activities plus cash and liquidity management more broadly. The person in this role will also collaborate broadly with others within BRG on efforts to improve processes associated with treasury activities and working capital management. While this position will report to the Chief Accounting Officer with significant regular interaction with the Chief Financial Officer, it is nonetheless a hands-on role with direct responsibilities for transactions, preparing reports and compliance, particularly associated with banking activities and with capital management. The candidate must be very flexible and highly committed to accuracy, rigorous controlled processes, customer service, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Bank Relationships Maintain, in coordination with the CFO and the Chief Accounting Officer, day-to-day relationships with BRGs relationship banks and other secondary bank relationships Set up and manage new and existing corporate bank accounts and bank relationships, in both the US and other countries. Facilitate compliance with KYC and related processes Support integration of BRG processes with bank systems, AP portals and other transaction-oriented third-party systems Act as either lead or required participant in management of any BRG bank or bank-related transactional process. Manage Letter of Credit requests and related activities Liquidity Management and Planning Participate in the development, preparation and utilization of BRGs global cash & liquidity forecasts, reporting and dashboards. Must be comfortable working with financial models and other specialized analyses required for this role Participate in the development and implementation of short- and long-term financial and operational plans to support BRGs current and future capital and liquidity needs. Maintain close coordination and facilitate communications with key company stakeholders (leadership team, non-U.S based staff, accounting, tax, legal,) with responsibilities that impact liquidity and cash flow management Lead or participate in initiatives to enhance cash flow and increase the speed and efficiency of related processes Borrowing and Cash Management Manage BRGs bank borrowing activities and debt instruments Manage investment of BRGs excess liquidity Foreign Exchange Risk Management Assess current and ongoing FX exposures and execute appropriate FX management activities if needed Support and collaborate with the controllers function in funding international subsidiaries Compliance & Other Responsibilities Monitor and ensure compliance with bank and other credit-related agreements plus internal controls related to liquidity, capital and cash management In conjunction with the legal and controllers functions, prepare and transmit all required bank and related reports, compliance certificates and transaction documents Engage in internal and external discussions with banks, industry peers and others regarding best in class treasury and working capital management practices and tools. Effectively bring these learnings back to influence BRGs planning and decision making. Identify opportunities to incorporate efficiencies into daily treasury and related operations Qualifications: Bachelor's in finance, accounting, economics or related field MBA, CFA or comparable credential strongly preferred 5+ years of relevant experience (treasury, banking, working capital management in service industries) plus 7 to 10 or more years of overall business experience. Experience in a treasury function of a comparable or larger organization highly recommended Experience with enterprise financial systems, particularly those associated with treasury management, cash management or payments transactions functions required Experience with professional services businesses preferred but not essential Proficiency in modelling and reporting using Microsoft Excel or other more advanced analysis tools Experience in managing multiple projects and tasks at one time and meeting competing deadlines Possess a passion for (and ability to) continuously improve and accelerate processes while maintaining rigorous standards of financial control Ability to operate in a fast-paced business environment and interact with a sophisticated internal client base of professional experts with significant financial expertise Attention to detail About BRG Berkeley Research Group (BRG) provides independent expert testimony, advisory services and data analytics to major law firms, Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and regulatory bodies around the world.
