Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) teams provide credit, cash management, capital markets and corporate finance advisory solutions to corporations, municipalities and nonprofits. The local delivery model, coupled with the firm's global resources, offers clients customized, comprehensive solutions and personalized service by building long-term relationships. Job Responsibilities The primary role of a Market Executive in Middle Market Banking is to focus on Middle Market corporate banking relationships (companies with revenue between $20 and $500 million. A Market Executive hires and directs team members in their business development efforts to grow and retain profitable banking relationships with Middle Market companies. You are expected to maintain a portfolio of your own while leading the banking team. However, the portfolio size is typically smaller in recognition of management responsibilities. This role is focusing on the 100+ segment and covering three locations including, Virginia, Washington DC & Maryland Champion a culture of innovation and a customer centric mindset Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships Find ways to drive efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologies Qualifications Experience: Typically a minimum of ten years account relationship management experience with a focus on business relationships Bachelor's degree required Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services Knowledge of the local market Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources FINRA securities licenses 79, 63 and 24 may be required for the role; specifics will be discussed at the time of offer Formal credit training preferred Strong technology experience; digital background preferred Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals; proven top individual contributor Management experience in a Commercial Bank setting, specifically leading a commercial lending sales team Skills: Strong management skills Sales management and business development skills Proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships Strong creative solution and problem solving abilities Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking Excellent organizational skill and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Excellent verbal and written communications skills, in particular, being able to effectively communicate clearly and concisely Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners Self-directed, proactive, and creative: uses sound judgment and navigates ambiguity to get things done.
