Peraton is seeking a proven executive for the role of Director of Business Development to lead growth of our Space Cyber account. Our company works closely with our customers to solve their most daunting challenges and create novel solutions to support their most vital missions.This role will report to the Director of Business Development for the Mission Security Business Unit, within the Cyber Mission sector of Peraton. A successful candidate will operate as an integral member of the Mission Security growth team, partnering with operational and functional leaders across the company. The selected candidate is responsible for developing broad knowledge of customers, competitors, and opportunities while maintaining awareness market dynamics. They will evaluate market trends and develop business cases that align customer's requirements with Peraton's capabilities and discriminators.A Qualified candidate will have:Demonstrated experience within the DoD Acquisition Process or DoD Cyber operations focused on the emerging US Space Force or predecessor cyber activities within National Space organizations Current broad market relationships and proven experience building relationships with strategic Cyber teaming partners (prime and sub)Developed and mature key relationships across National Space organizations such as NASA, US Space Force, and other related Space organizations issuing Cyber workAbility to think strategically, collaborate across organizations, and operate independentlyResponsibilitiesManages resources to create, identify, develop, and qualify opportunities that align to the company's strategic campaigns and customers' missions of consequence that result in meaningful and measurable revenue growthAchieve acquisition and sales goals through winning new business, contract recompetes, teaming, and organic growthDevelop and maintain an active strategic growth plan, and the associated pipeline, in alignment and consistent with corporate campaign strategy and goals.Primary interface with customer community for assigned opportunitiesBuild customer relationships through effective communicationsDevelop strategies to "shape" requirements and acquisition strategyIdentify and target new business markets, adjacencies, and partnershipsEmbrace the Peraton Business Acquisition Process in daily activities, and effectively manage and communicate all the opportunities and plans for management and technical teamsAssist in guiding potential customers by demonstrating technical solutions, architectures, capabilities, and potential acquisition paths for early stage opportunities, working with internal technical and program management teams to develop responses for requests to information (RFI), market survey's, white papers, presentations, briefings, and major event demonstrationsRequired Qualifications15+ years related work experience with a minimum of 10+ years related to cyber security management or technical activities with multiple DoD organizations or NASA, and/or Cyber-specific programs/requirementsDeep and current understanding of NASA and US Space Force Cyber customer's activities and needs to leverage Peraton strengths and core valuesMust demonstrate high energy, integrity, strong business acumen, professionalism, and commitmentHighly effective communicator to all levels within the company and with clientsBachelor's degree or additional equivalent military or work experienceAbility to obtain a Secret security clearanceAbility to travel 10-15% travel as required.Desired QualificationsCandidate living in close radius to NASA and US Space Force headquarters, or Space cyber focused cities such as Colorado Springs, CO Ability to gain access to NASA and US Space Force Customer decision makersTrack record of capture on large/major pursuits as well as pipeline developmentTechnical cybersecurity understanding/experience and the ability to intelligently bridge discussion with customers and technical teamProfit & Loss/program management experienceColorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act:This position pays $190,000 - $230,000 based on required experience and market factorsFor information about Peraton's benefits, please visit Peraton drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.
