Human Resources Manager
Aston Carter in partnership is one of the largest commercial laundries on the East Coast servicing hospitals and other healthcare facilities in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, DC, and Virginia. They provide full-services to our customers from pickup to delivery. There dedicated staff of laundry associates, drivers and maintenance technicians, as well as the administrative and management teams, ensure the delivery of hygienically clean laundry, year-round. Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager with strong hands-on generalist experience to provide on-site support to a diverse workforce while building strong working relationships that reinforce the company's mission, vision, and values . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES . Talent acquisition . Organization development . Employee engagement and retention . Policy development (https://www.thebalance.com/how-to-develop-a-policy-1918870) and administration . Administration and compliance with Affirmative Action Plans, Collective Bargaining Agreements, and DOT/FMCSA regulations . Employee and labor relations . Compensation and benefits administration QUALIFICATIONS Experience: . At least 5 years exempt level experience in HR management Education, Certifications & Licenses: . Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management Required Skills & Abilities: . Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and disciplines . Experience working with affirmative action plans . Experience working in a collective bargaining environment and participating in union negotiations . Experience with Department of Transportation and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations as they pertain to matters of employment . Must possess good judgement and the ability to analyze and problem-solve as well as provide leadership and guidance across all levels of the organization . Must possess a high level of adaptability and a high tolerance for ambiguity . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team . Must have good organizational skills and attention to detail plus the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment . Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus web-based information research and retrieval . Requires a consistent on-site schedule and occasional after-hours support as needed or required Desired Qualifications . SPHR or PHR certification . Experience in production, manufacturing, and/or warehouse environments . Bilingual in English and Spanish (read, write, speak, translate, and interpret) INCLUDED BENEFITS .
