TKo Hospitality Management is looking for a dynamic Sales and Marketing leader to open the new Hyatt Place Hotel and Event Center in Kent Narrows, MD. Essential Job Functions Leads the overall sales and marketing of the property. This is a hands-on sales function that will be involved in the day-to-day sales process. Knows how to develop and implement a strategic sales and marketing plan. Understands catering sales and how to maximize catering/rooms revenue through properly yielding the banquet space. Develops a strong Ecommerce presence through digital marketing and social media. Work in partnership with the Director of Revenue Management and General Manager to develop, communicate and implement sales strategies, mix of business, channel management, and pricing strategies. Identify customer business requirements and crafts customized offerings to stand out from the competition. Coaches the sales team to achieve sales goals. Has a strong understanding of financial statements and sales reports. Extremely guest focused and creative on developing unique experiences and packages. Achieve annual hotel rooms and catering revenue goals as agreed upon and established in the annual budget. Maintains relationships with key accounts to increase customer retention and account revenue. Use professional sales techniques to negotiate the best possible terms and conditions that satisfy customer (internal and external) requirements. Articulate and leverage the benefits of the hotel to close sales opportunities. Trains and develops sales team members. Actively involved in the community. Networks at local events. Strong technical skills and proficient in CRM and Sales systems such as Envision, Delphi, etc. Develop effective presentations (orally and written) where ideas, opinions, recommendations and conclusions are clearly understood. Work closely with the TKO and Hyatt brand sales teams to drive business to the hotel. Travel regionally to conduct outside calls, attend trade shows and attend conferences and events. Embraces TKo's culture of Care. Perform other duties as requested by management. Position Requirements Minimum of an associate degree in Hospitality Management, Business Sales and Marketing or related fields. At least three years previous experiences as a DOSM of an upscale full-service hotel. Proficient in use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Hotel Sales CRM/Sales systems. Work schedule varies and may include working evenings, holiday, and weekends. Moderate travel. This position is at a location where Hyatt is not the employer. The employer of individuals working at this hotel may be a third-party management company that is responsible for all employment benefits and obligations at this location.
