Make a Difference.Title: Senior Software Engineer- Big Data Technologies Position Overview As part of our Data Solutions team, the Senior Software Engineer is the core technologist with a broad skill set that brings enhanced value to product development, and responsible for building key components for Change Healthcare Data Science as a Service (DSaaS) platform, which enables customers to generate timely, high powered insights. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures in AWS ecosystem. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?+ The ideal candidate will have a background in AWS ecosystem, have experience working with large data sets, and have experience in building Big data Platforms+ Design, modify, implement, test, and provide operational support for enterprise software products and platforms, including software infrastructure and development tools for the Data+ Develop, operate and drive scalable and resilient data platform to address the business requirements+ Create new opportunities in this space for Data Science as a Service (DSaaS) platform with new feature capabilities and new offerings that drive customer and business value+ Ensure industry best practices around data pipelines, metadata management, data quality, data governance and data privacy+ Engages in building solutions leveraging technologies including but not limited to Python, Scala, Spark, Hive and AWS services such as EC2, S3, ECS, Lambda, EMR, ELB, SNS, Glue, Athena and SageMakerWhat are the requirements needed for this position?+ Master's degree in Computer Sciences, or Mathematics OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, or Mathematics +10 years of equivalent work experience+ Strong knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure compute, networking, storage and other AWS cloud services+ Proven experience with AWS services such as Data Pipeline, Step Functions, Batch, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, EC2, EMR, SNS, IAM, ELB, EC2, S3, Redshift, Glue+ Experience with Big Data tech stack, including Hadoop, Java, Python, Spark, PySpark, Scala, and Hive, Columnar and NoSQL data stores+ Knowledge and previous experience with Unix and Linux+ Demonstrates strong drive to learn and advocate for development best practices+ Experience working with large datasets and large-scale distributed computing+ Working knowledge of building out data marts, data warehouses, data lakes preferred+ Experience on ETL data pipelines development and performance tuning+ Experience with manipulating and transforming data+ Experience on columnar databases like Redshift or Snowflake preferred+ Working knowledge of containers and container orchestration+ Proficiency using Kubeflow, Airflow or any other workflowsWhat other skills/experience would be helpful to have?+ This individual must have strong knowledge of healthcare data, analytics & workflows, excellent problem-solving & project management capabilities, and a proven ability to design & drive BigData platform.+ Excellent critical thinking, verbal and written communications skills+ Knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry is a plusWhat are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?+ General office demands#li-remote Join our team today where we are creating a better coordinated, increasingly collaborative, and more efficient healthcare system!
