Sr Manager, Cash Vendor Relationship Manager

The Cash Operations team provides cash and transportation services to our Retail Branches and ATMs as well as our Commercial clients. Taking care of our customers and making sure they have cash in the right place, at the right time, is our highest priority. We are seeking a top-notch Operations Team Leader to be accountable for our extended cash operation. This leader will manage a team of vendor managers responsible for the relationships and execution of processing owned by our Cash Vendors (Loomis, Garda and Brinks). These Cash Vendor processes include order and deposit processing as well as transportation management related to our Commercial clients, Retail Branches and ATMs. This role will partner with our strategy team and support the work to define our vault distribution strategy and our vendor strategy. They will also drive consistency and develop processes that ensure well managed is always a top priority. This leader will build relationships with cash industry experts to understand solutions being developed and used by other Financial Institutions and the Federal Reserve to improve the processes used to manage cash.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Driving a well managed agenda to ensure proper processes and controls are designed and maintained across all our external vaults
  • Setting an agenda for process improvements and automation with a goal towards eliminating manual processes
  • Managing and developing relationships with our Cash Vendors in an effort to always partner with them to ensure cash is available in the right places for our customers
  • Understanding and managing the budget related to our Cash Vendors
  • Leading a team of vendor managers, defining guiding principles for how they manage their specific vendor, fostering a team environment, defining key metrics for measuring success, encouraging creative thinking and process improvement.
  • Coordinating, developing and managing objectives and strategies to maintain acceptable customer service standards while minimizing cost, errors and exposure to loss
  • Ensuring that all user groups are informed of changes in Regulatory requirements affecting the overall operation of the Cash Vault Services, recommending policy and procedural changes to ensure compliance
  • Traveling as necessary to other banks, trade shows, and vendor facilities for project work, training, and deeper understanding of the processes and what is possible.


Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 years of vendor management experience
  • At least 2 year of people management experience
  • At least 2 years of process management experience
  • At least 2 years of financial services experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • Process certifications (i.e. LEAN, Six Sigma, Business Process Management)
  • 5 years of financial services experience
  • 5 years of process managementexperience
  • 5 years of vendor management experience
  • 5 years of people management experience
