Summary

This position is located at Departmental Offices, Domestic Finance-Community Development Financial Institutions Fund. As a Research Analyst, you will perform research and program analyst responsibilities regarding the magnitude and impact of the CDFI Fund programs and award recipients.

As a Research Analyst, you will:

- Work closely with CDFI Fund stakeholders, including managers, policy makers, and other information users, to identify information gaps and needs, and plan financial strategy programs and carry out research projects conforming with Federal mandates and Treasury and CDFI Fund missions.

- Develop meaningful performance models and impact measures in order to guide the use of Fund resources.

- Perform demographic, portfolio, and market analyses to measure the availability of financial services in underserved markets.

- Assess the sustainability of the Fund's programs and operations.

- Work with industry experts and build models for measuring community impact and prepare reports.

    Qualifications

    You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

    Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following:
    - Performing community and economic development finance research using financial institution and Census Bureau socioeconomic data; AND
    - Manipulating, merging, and managing large scale databases using SAS or STATA software, SQL or comparable software for data merging and statistical analysis.
    Time in Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:

    For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.

    There will be a two-phased process.

    Phase 2: If you have self-certified that you meet the minimum qualifications requirements and your assessment scores high enough in Phase 1, you will receive an email containing additional information about Phase 2. Failure to complete the narrative questions will result in an incomplete application and no further consideration will be given.
