Your role as a Marketing Manager will help meet the above goals in a dynamic, thoughtful, and progressive environment. In this role, you are asked to broadly support IACP efforts, and specifically to develop content to support association marketing activities. Additionally, this position builds marketing plans, develops content, and implements all marketing strategies and communication activities through social media, website, print, and other digital platforms. Job Responsibilities Working with IACP staff, project partners, and stakeholders, the Marketing Manager will: Manage all aspects of the project to ensure messages are supportive of and consistent with IACP's voice and brand Develop marketing campaigns integrating print, social media, and digital platforms Create and edit content for membership acquisition, meeting registration and other IACP products and services Post content, generate online traffic and discussion and increase loyalty of followers on association social media channels Create and distribute customer/membership surveys Manage website design, maintenance, and content development to include regular reviews of the website to ensure content accuracy and relevance Measure, analyze, and report on the reach and impact of IACP communication activities and initiatives Identify, prepare, support, evaluate and manage contracting processes for vendors Identify key partners, and vendors in the field; build and manage these partnerships Manage, lead, and grow staff members Develop and deliver in person and/or online training for staff on communication tools Manage budget creation and development and support budget tracking and invoicing in accordance with IACP and federal guidelines Maintain ongoing and effective communication with project team, staff members, partners, and vendors Coordinate and conduct educational presentations about the project area and its resources: represent the project area at events and before relevant groups Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (marketing, journalism, or public relations preferred) Minimum of three years of job-related experience in marketing, communications, or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the not-for-profit association sector Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other relevant business software Proficiency in social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn) Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated successful experience writing marketing acquisition copy and making presentations Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications Analytical skills to include ability to troubleshoot problems from multiple perspectives Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills Strong penchant for collaboration and teamwork Critical thinking and decision-making skills Solid task prioritization, organization, and time management skills, and attention to detail Demonstrated skill in managing staff and projects Ability to create and manage a budget, accounting for and preserving project resources Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with and understanding of policing Proficiency with Hootsuite, Informz and Drupal Experience in a non-profit organization, association, or criminal justice environment Special Conditions and Work Environment Some travel may be required based on job responsibilities.
