In business for more than 45 years, EA has earned an outstanding reputation for technical expertise, responsive service, and judicious use of client resources.We have an opening for Accountant I position reporting to our office in Hunt Valley,ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze general ledger account activity and perform G/L reconciliations monthly.Prepare bank reconciliations for all cash accounts.Prepare reconciliations on all investment accounts.Prepare monthly journal entries for various accruals, prepaids, and other balance sheet accounts.Prepare all Company health benefit reconciliations on a monthly basis.Assist the Accounting and Tax Manager with month-end closing process, annual financial audit, and DOT overhead audits.Prepare and interface monthly depreciation entries as well as interface payroll transactions into the financial system.Maintain fixed asset database through Sage FAS software.Maintain full cycle accounting books for our various Joint Ventures (JV) through QuickBooks, including processing of AP and AR, reconciling the GL, performing bank reconciliations, and preparing interim financial reporting for the JV partners.Responsible for AP processing and company disbursements.Assist in the preparation of information requested to prepare federal and state corporate income tax returns.Maintain the Company's registrations, licenses, taxes, and annual report filing databases.Prepare and submit the Company's registrations, licenses, and annual report filings.Maintain orderly files and records for audit and referenceQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required3+ years of professional accounting required, public accounting experience a plusCPA or CPA candidate preferredProficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and TeamsKnowledge of Adobe softwareAttention to detail and accuracy without sacrificing efficiency is crucialSolid communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal) are requiredExcellent planning, organizational and time management skills are vitalAnalytical thinking, sound judgement, and problem-solving skills are neededAbility to work both independently and as a team player are essentialCapacity to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment is necessaryWhy Join EA?At EA, our core values are openness, prudence, balance, and challenge and we strive to improve the quality of the environment in which we live, one project at a time.
