GTL is looking for a HR Generalist will implement HR services, policies, and programs and assist company managers with HR related challenges and HR sponsored programs. Other areas of responsibility include benefit administration, new hire orientation and other HR related tasks and projects. This is a fast-paced, challenging role for a service-oriented individual interested in applying many skills and competencies within the HR discipline.**This position will be located at our Falls Church, VA location**Responsibilities:Administer various benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, FSA, and 401(k) plansServe as primary liaison for employee questions, enrollment, and issuesWork with Benefits Manager to resolve any vendor issues quicklyManage all aspects of leave of absence and disability programs including providing policy information to employees, working closely with our third-party administrator, collaborating with HR Business Partners, providing timely pay updates to our Payroll team, creating benefit premium invoices and monitoring casesMonitor online benefit enrollments and changes, auditing as necessaryAssist with the Open Enrollment process including development of materials, communications, system testing and auditingPrepare and/or facilitate distribution of internal employee communications regarding company policies, practices or procedures and HR programs, and company announcementsPartner with Talent Acquisition to assist with new hire onboarding functions including interaction by phone, email and in person to provide prompt and courteous candidate experienceRecommend, develop, and implement new and creative ideas to maximize the effectiveness of the Employee Onboarding and Orientation programCoordinate and deliver all new hire orientation efforts, which include schedules, invitations, presenter participation, etc. in a timely mannerPartner with onboarding team for appropriate follow-up surveys distribution and reporting to ensure continuous improvement and overall employee experienceProvide team support with several other similar or related duties which may not be specifically included within this position description, but which are consistent with the general level of the job and the responsibilitiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of degreeA minimum of 2 years of direct benefits administration and/or HR Generalist roleProficient in Microsoft Office specifically ExcelExperience in ADP Workforce Now preferredStrong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, ACA, and federal and state laws regarding benefitsAbility to manage multiple critical, time-sensitive projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of the organizationStrong organizational and project management skills; ability to prioritize and balance workload to meet deadlinesProven conflict resolution skillsAbility to manage work independently with a high level of accuracyStrong internal and external customer service focus, with a genuine desire to assist othersStrong analytical and presentation skillsGTL, an innovation leader in correctional technology, education solutions that assist in rehabilitating inmates, and payment services solutions for government.
