As a result, we have set a new standard, and our clients have made E2 Optics one of America's largest and fastest-growing companies.POSITION SUMMARYThe role of the Project Manager is to serve as the site ambassador for local E2 Optics' resources to effectively and consistently deliver value to the client. This position requires extensive experience managing the infrastructure installation of large multi-million new construction mission critical data centers. Responsible and accountable for strategic alignment and execution of E2 operations to drive timely project completion in accordance to budgeted scope, schedule and cost while exceeding safety and quality expectations.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Core Duties & Responsibilities:Safety is E2's number one Core Value. Monitor and ensure compliance with all E2 Optics, customer and applicable OSHA safety requirements.Promotes Company Core Values to foster and safeguard family-centric culture.SafetyAlign business objectives, strategically plan and proactively allocate E2 resources to partner with and support the client within a holistic, risk management safety program.Promote and foster a culture of employee empowerment to proactively prevent hazards in the workplace and enable coworkers to conduct their duties in a safe and efficient manner.DeliverManage project in accordance to scheduling metrics and maintain SPI within client expectations.Set expectations for subcontractor/vendor performance and drive efficiencies for project activities.Provide progress updates, reports and metrics as per contractual requirements and client requests.Manage installation strategies in conjunction with the local E2 operational personnel to ensure project is delivered on schedule and within budget.Ensure coordination with PE to facilitate project close-outs are completed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.CostComplete post-project walk through ensuring the customer's quality expectations have been met or exceeded.Oversee the development of all project closeout documents (As-Built drawings, Test Results, Continuous Improvement, etc.)Follow up with Customer and General Contractors to close projects out quickly and efficiently.Account ManagementCultivate and maintain customer relationship to maintain, secure and expand business opportunities.Evolve organizational structure to successfully execute build contracts based on project scope, scale, complexity, client expectations and support business sustainability.Develop resource plan and evaluate needs in conjunction with site resource requirements.Manage job cost/profitability and schedules through systems, processes and reporting.Work with customer teams to meet master schedule such as providing specific work dates for scheduled items.Track overall project status, evaluate cost vs. performance to ensure projects come in on time and within budget. The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2.Technology & InnovationAnchor training programs to effectively develop employees in technical, leadership, safety, quality, lean and cultural disciplines to facilitate maturity and performance of the organization.Lead by example and act as a coach and mentor to team members that influence and encourage them to promote a Lean culture and develop with emerging technologies.Provide opportunities for industry recognized technical development opportunities such as Commscope, BICSI, Corning, FOA, Panduit and other data center/structured cabling standards.TrainingAnchor training programs to effectively develop employees in technical, leadership, safety, quality, lean and cultural disciplines to facilitate maturity and performance of the organization.Lead by example and act as a coach and mentor to team members that influence and encourage them to promote a Lean culture and develop with emerging technologies.Provide opportunities for industry recognized technical development opportunities such as Commscope, BICSI, Corning, FOA, Panduit and other data center/structured cabling standards.Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Education:AAS or BS in Construction Management or Construction Engineering; relevant experience may substitute for degreeRCDD or PMP preferredBICSI Certifications preferredExperience:Minimum 5 years' experience in data center construction and project management including the installation of standard cabling technologies, rack infrastructure and managing large scale build projects including the ability to communicate, prioritize and manage time effectively.Extensive experience managing large multi-million new commercial construction sitesExperience managing mission critical data centers preferredExperience managing teams of 50-100+ technicians on job sitesProduct experience with, but not limited to Corning, Panduit, Uniprise, Systimax, Siemon.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Decision Making and Judgment: The position involves projects and/or assignments requiring considerable decision-making authority regarding procedures, plans and schedules. Must be proficient in structured problem solving and RCA to determine best feasible solutions.Knowledge of data infrastructure industry including technology, quality and safety standards.Knowledge of the PMBOK Guides and Standards.Advanced project management and leadership skills.Demonstrated professionalism and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.Demonstrated team building and conflict resolution skills.Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills, including excellent customer service skills.Ability to present effectively to small and large groups.Disciplined, detail oriented, organized, and thorough self-starter.Demonstrated skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems and issues.Strategic planning skills.Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedureProficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.) and MS Project. Auto CAD preferred.WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. The employee may be required to work in tight, confided spaces. The employee must demonstrate regular and on-time attendance. There could be a requirement of occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
