In addition to offering a challenging and diverse work environment, Century's culture encourages community service, continued learning, personal growth and fun!Century is seeking an engineer or environmental scientist to join our Water and Environmental Resources team to perform stream, wetland, and ecosystem assessment, restoration design, construction oversight, and post-construction monitoring services for a range of project types and clients in Maryland and throughout the mid-Atlantic region.Required Experience/Qualifications:Two to eight years of experience performing stream and ecosystem assessments, restoration design, construction oversight, and post-construction monitoring servicesB.S. in civil or environmental engineering, geology, or in environmental science is requiredProficiency with field-based geomorphic assessment techniquesStrong understanding of stream and outfall restoration utilizing multiple restoration methodologiesCompetency with AutoCAD and Civil 3-DExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOccasionally travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetingDesired Experience:Familiarity with the Chesapeake Bay Watershed and MS4 permit requirementsConstruction document preparation including construction plans, estimates, and specificationsFamiliarity with the Chesapeake Bay Expert Panel Papers and nutrient reduction computation protocolsAbility to work with MicroStation and ArcGISCapable of completing hydrology and hydraulic assessments including, but not limited to, TR-55, TR-20, GISHydroNXT, and HEC-RAS (1-D)Understanding of HEC-RAS 2-D modelingRosgen Training (Levels I-IV)Knowledge of stormwater and storm drain design, erosion and sediment control design and wetland restoration design and monitoringValid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving practicesCentury Engineering, Inc. is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
