Description Job Description: Leidos is looking to hire a Lead Systems Engineer lead to manage an SE/Architecture team. The qualified candidate will work hand-in-hand with technical and program management leadership along with various external stakeholders, to help design and implement the next generation desktop and web based production and dissemination system. This position will require experience across multiple System Engineering and architecture domains with a focus on standing up and maintaining cloud environments, and the deployment of custom code, COTS, and GOTS to those environments with a Geospatial focus. Primary Roles & Responsibilities: This position involves leading systems engineering activities that support building and delivering new and innovative systems to implement analytics, exploitation, production and dissemination using web, remote desktop, and cloud technologies. Duties will include managing the SE/Arch team made up of senior engineers and architects who drive all technical aspects of the program and work with all internal teams as well as external development teams and customers (both management and engineering). The candidate will develop the team backlog, write features/stories/acceptance criteria, facilitate SAFe/Agile ceremonies such as planning sessions and daily scrums, coordinate technical exchange meetings, and drive improvements to the program. Minimum Qualifications: Experience with cloud/Amazon Web services (AWS) Experience with Windows and Linux Experience with System (hardware, software and networking) Design and Architecture. Understanding of agile SW development methodologies Experience developing a backlog and technical roadmap Experience as a scrum master, product owner, systems engineer or architect Excellent communication skills and the ability to brief stakeholders at all levels Requires BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 + years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years of experience in lieu of degree Must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications: An active TS/SCI with a Polygraph DD8570 compliance Experience with GIS, specifically ESRI ArcGIS systems along with other technologies such as WMS, WFS, KML Experience with various AWS capabilities and services Experience writing, maintaining, and describing architecture diagrams Technical certifications including Microsoft and/or AWS Pay Range: COVID Response Effective October 1, in order to enter Leidos facilities in the US and to attend Leidos business events outside our facilities, employees will be required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 or maintain proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 96 hours of entry.
