The successful candidate will bring exceptional organizational, communications and office environment skills to the job. On the job training regarding the combat system, systems engineering and acquisition processes will be provide, making this an ideal position for a junior-level candidate to join the DoD acquisition/systems engineering community!! Typical Responsibilities: Organize program reviews and lead program management team meetings. Facilitate meetings with senior Navy leadership. Facilitate Systems Engineering Technical Review boards such as Preliminary Design Review or Software Increment Reviews. Manage and support US Navy combat systems training systems design, development, modernization and operation. Manage and support Fleet Readiness initiatives relating to combat systems operations. Coordinate and Manage Homeport PMR support. Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline. Minimum of ten (10) years' experience with combat systems operations and/or maintenance. Required Qualifications: Ability to run a productive meeting and to help guide a diverse integrated team of various stakeholders (contractors, developers, testers, government sponsors, technical warrant holders) toward a path of success. Effective communication and interpersonal skills (oral and written); applicable to high-level Military, Government, and Contractor personnel. Required Security Clearance: Must have an active Secret security clearance. Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of US Navy Combat Systems (specifically AEGIS) and shipboard infrastructure and operations. AEGIS Combat Systems engineering or maintenance experience, especially related to the AEGIS computing infrastructure or the AEGIS Computer program. Civilian, contractor or military US Navy experience at sea or in a position directly supporting the fleet or the development of the fleet; providing for relative operational experience. Knowledge of training systems on US Navy ships and broad principles of Systems Engineering; knowledge of System operations and Ship/System capabilities.
