• Location: Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, MD, a short driving distance
from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD

Reports to the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, provides mission-focused

patient care in an open friendly and collaborative environment.
  • Manages a 16 bed Surgical ICU with a focus on neurosurgery.
  • Recipient of the Bronze Beacon Award.
  • Covers the IV Team.
  • Provides direct reports and staff with the opportunity for professional growth and development.
  • Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with others including managers, medical staff, directors, outside agencies and other providers.
  • Collaborates with medical leadership to monitor quality and assure that care is delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Leads work teams and committees to achieve outcomes. Acts as a supportive and productive team member.
  • Prepares and manages operating budgets to meet organizational goals and objectives. Works with managers to monitor expenses and take corrective action to meet budgeted targets. Accurately forecasts costs by trending key cost drivers and other health industry trends.


What you will need:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, MSN or Master of Science Degree in Healthcare or a related field preferred
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State.
  • Minimum of five years related clinical experience. Minimum of three years management experience in a comparable area of an acute care setting.
