Inspector position is for ensuring that the installation, construction, repairs, improvements, and maintenance of City owned utilities, roadways, buildings, and properties by contractors and developers meet City approved plans and specifications. Duties include but not limited to construction inspection of sanitary sewer lines, water mains, pumping stations, municipal water wells, road construction or resurfacing and storm drain projects. Requires an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and minimum of three years of related work experience in a responsible non-professional engineering position in construction or surveying work; or equivalent combination of education, training and related experience. 40 hrs/wk. and overtime when applicable. Position reports to City Engineer and primarily works in the field. Basic computer knowledge and Windows application needed. The minimum hourly rate for this position is $25.08.
