This position is located in the Department of the Treasury, Departmental Offices, Enterprise Cyber Risk Management Program. Our overall mission of cybersecurity at the Department is to assure the appropriate protection of cyber information, services, and assets.

Responsibilities

As a/an SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/ENTARCH), you will:
  • Develop and formulate strategic planning for the organization. Provide input and develop processes to produce the organization's budget. Develop and lead teams in projects and special studies covering risk management in various areas throughout Treasury and the Treasury Bureaus.
  • Manage and lead Enterprise Cyber Risk Management Team. Includes establishing Cyber Risk Enterprise appetite, thresholds, risk registers and conduct analysis of cyber risks using a quantified approach.
  • Manage and lead Supply Chain Risk Management Team. Includes identifying, assessing and reporting on Supply Chain risks. Resolve risk issues or tracks until resolution is developed. Perform risk assessments and prioritizes supplier risk based on assessment results.
  • Audit and ensure Enterprise Cyber Architecture is compliant with all risk related regulations and standards. Develop and maintain project level and Enterprise level model consistency and integration. Derive, define, and explicitly represent various artifacts to align with cyber architectural best practices.

    Qualifications

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    Specialized experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following:

    -Demonstrated prior experience in a leadership role in an enterprise cyber security environment; AND

    -Project or program management experience, such as planning and designing IT deployments, budgeting, and/or contracting; AND

    -Providing guidance and support on cyber security issues to managers and executives, such as performing risk-benefit analysis of information technology security and influencing IT security policies and programs; AND

    -Establishing measurable performance goals to gauge quality of service and improvements over time; AND

    -Managing crisis events and balancing conflicting needs of various stakeholders to provide solutions and problem resolution to customers, with a strong sense of commitment and drive towards customer service.

    In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

    1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

    2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

    3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.

    4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
