Founded in 1961 to help the Department of Defense resolve complex logistics management challenges, LMI continues to enable growth and transformation, enhance operational readiness and resiliency, and ensure mission success for federal civilian and defense agencies.Responsibilities:The Protocol Administrative Assistant shall provide MDA protocol support services requirements include, but are not limited to: 1) general protocol office support; 2) Agency event support; and 3) distinguished visitor support. Protocol support provides direct support to the Chief of Staff Directorate (DS), MDA Flag Officers/General Officers, members of the Senior Executive Service (SES), and Program Executives/Directors.The Protocol Administrative Assistant shall advise the COS Office on military customs and courtesies per the Military Services Regulations required for each event, traditional and formal diplomatic customs, courtesies and etiquette due visiting dignitaries, and both foreign and domestic. Developing briefings, coordinating conferences, meetings, ceremonies and social functions involving federal and state legislative delegations, general officers/flag officers of the United States and foreign nations' military and other civilian high-ranking officials. Maintaining expert knowledge of foreign relations/protocol procedures that apply to military/civilian leaders (foreign and domestic); apply precedential national and international rules, procedures and forms.Qualifications:3 years of experience supervising and providing direction to team members.5 years of experience in planning, coordinating, executing, and providing logistical support for conferences, meetings, ceremonies, and social functions. Experience and knowledge of military regulations, military customs and courtesies. Experience managing and coordinating government protocol events which may include scheduling venues, parking coordination, transportation, accommodating distinguished visitors, and coordinating audio/video requirements.Expert in Government property regulations and systems.Expert developing employee training programs and strategies including providing on the job training to meet the Agency's mission.Expert developing, maintaining and coordinating administrative and event schedules.Expert developing protocol products such as briefing papers, scripts, invitations, itineraries and other forms of written communication.Expert in Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), For Official Use Only (FOUO), and Classified information handling programs and procedures.Expert in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Excellent communication skills to include phone, office etiquette, and written skills.Minimum of an active Secret clearance required with clearability to the TS/SCI level; TS/SCI preferred.This support covers geographically dispersed on-site locations identified; the National Capital Region (NCR); Dahlgren, VA (DHL); Huntsville, AL (HSV); Fort Greely, AK (FGA); Vandenberg AFB, CA (VAFB) and Colorado Springs, CO (COS).EEO Statement:LMI is an Equal Opportunity Employer
