Job SummaryThe Service Specialist will be scheduled to cook or assist, depending on business needs. When cooking they will be responsible for running all kitchen operations during events. They will prep, execute and run food orders while ensuring food safety and constant cleanliness of the kitchen. When assisting they will be responsible for helping customers who need assistance with their painting as well as food and beverage service.ResponsibilitiesWhen Cooking:Turn on ovens and ensure food is prepped for the dayCheck temperatures on fridges and freezers to ensure they are in safe temperature zonesEnsure food safety guidelines are followedPrepare food as orders come in, ensuring high quality and presentationIf Assist is busy, support with running food to tablesKeep work area clean and sanitizedPrep food stock throughout shift and ensure kitchen prep checklist is completedSupport with bar service as neededEnsure cleaning checklist is completed at end of shiftPerforms other duties as assignedWhen Assisting:Support with greeting and seating customersServe as cashier, bartender and server, providing food & beverage service at bar and tablesideRestock bar throughout the session to ensure drinks are cold and readily availableActing as the host of the party for a particular eventProvide Lead with Last Call reminder for kitchen ordersPlace customer orders through the POS system and collect payment for ordersHelp customers 1:1 with any painting needs that ariseTake customer photos during and at end of sessionUpload session photos to Google Photos prior to closingEnsure customers are enjoying their experience overallFollow cleaning checklists to ensure company standards are metPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Skills/AbilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organization and customer service skillsThorough understanding of the company's products and/or servicesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace and SlackMust have a reliable vehicle and valid driver licenseAbility to work nights and weekends as neededAbility to travel as needed, up to 20% of each weekAbility to work 15-30 hours per weekExperience/EducationMust be 18 years or olderHigh school diploma1+ years experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environmentServSafe Food Handler certification (Muse will provide this training if needed)Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift, bendMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at timesThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the position.
