Job Description:Prescient Edge is seeking a Budget Analyst to support a Federal government client. As a Budget Analyst, you will:Administer budgets and prepares fiscal forecasts based on historical costs.Compile and reviews budgets using actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administration.Prepare financial plans, monitors implementation of financial policies, prepares regular and special purpose reports, maintains historical records, analyzes trends, establishes cost rates and personnel forecasts, recommends and interprets budgetary policies and procedures, prepares comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds, and determines rationale for variances between costs and budget.Analyze budgeting and accounting reports for the purpose of maintaining expenditure controls.Prepare regular and special budget reports, investigates variances.Provide advice and technical assistance with cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparations.Consult with managers to ensure that budget adjustments are made in accordance with program changes.Review operating budgets to analyze trends affecting budget needs. May also be billable to a contract.Perform analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned portions of a program or programs.Assist in the planning, analyzing, managing, and executing of fiscal resources.Monitor and report the execution status by analyzing transactional information and preparing draft documentation necessary to support contracting and budgetary actions.Support the development of fiscal program builds, track budgetary legislative Acts and appropriation mandates (including amendments) affecting the customer, and review and assess impacts to customer's fiscal planning and budget execution that may result from legislative marks, organizational reprogramming, or policies.Conduct research and analysis to deliver reports and presentations in response to internal external tasking and requests.BenefitsAt Prescient Edge, we believe that acting with integrity and serving our employees is the key to everyone's success.
