We are seeking an experienced, high-energy self-starter to drive tradeshow exhibit sales, sponsorship and advertising in an emerging transportation technology sector. Competitive candidates will have proven success in generating new business, an eagerness to learn, and motivation to grow their career to the next level! We Are:The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) is the leading trade association serving an industry sector including drones, automated and remotely operated vehicles, and related systems, components and services. Your Day: | Confidently sell over the phone and in-person to contacts ranging from entry-level to C-Suite at both prospective and established accounts. The primary focus will be on event exhibit space, sponsorship, and advertising, and assisting in membership recruitment. You will have the ability to customize opportunities to meet your clients' needs. | Listen to the customer, understand their needs and connect them with the appropriate strategic solution. | Communicate a vision for the client, verbally and in writing, that earns their confidence and buy-in.| Identify new business opportunities by reviewing industry news, trade publications, competitive and adjacent events, and other industry activities.| Uncover opportunities with the established customer base by routinely engaging them to understand their evolving goals.| Record your communications and track opportunities in Salesforce to accurately report and track your pipeline of business.| Maintain an active pipeline totaling 2X to 3X your revenue goal.| Independently monitor progress against weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly goals in order to ensure you are meeting or exceeding benchmarks. Must Haves: | Three to five years of demonstrated success in independently achieving sales goals in a B2B setting.| Comfortable selling in the technology environment; experience in a technology or industry sector of a comparable scope is plus. Tradeshow experience is a plus.| Flexibility that allows you to adjust to changing priorities and operate effectively in a fluid environment.| Strong written and verbal communications skills, including a firm grasp of tone, audience, and clarity.| Ability to collaborate within the team and across teams. You are deeply invested in contributing to not just your own success but the success of your teammates and organization.| Computer savvy with business basics (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and have experience with or be willing to learn new applications such as event management and CRM applications such as a2z, Salesforce and NetForum.| Bachelor's degree and professional experience in a relevant business setting.| Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
