Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist
Overview:The ideal candidate will perform under general supervision a variety of moderately complex to complex tasks. The position requires excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills. All tasks must be performed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with Concentra and Central Billing Office practices, policies, and procedures. ResponsibilitiesMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary Functions:Account resolution via communications with employers, insurance companies, TPAs and labs. Incoming customer service calls with clients. Processing rebills & correspondence.Managing aging reports.Submit employer profile updates and information as necessary.A/R Aging ReportOutgoing calls to insurance companies, employers, etc.Adjustments are applied when appropriateGenerating rebills for outstanding A/RHandle Employer issues DocumentationDocument notes into billing systemRequest documentation from clinics to support chargesAddress correspondence and customer requestsRebillsGenerate rebills for open balancesCorrect insurance information and redirect bills to appropriate payerUpdate employer changes and re-submit corrected billsOther DutiesPerforms additional duties as assignedQualificationsEDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:High School education, prefer some college or specialty training in medical billing or equivalent job relevant experienceMinimum of one-year accounts receivable experience (occupational health preferred). Problem solving and ability to handle multiple tasks Minimum of one-year collection experience (occupational health preferred).
