While this is not a management position at this time, leadership skills are sought for growth and progression. Among the general practices:Translate specifications into product features according to Autoscribe's coding best practicesEnsure successful operation of software throughout DEV, QA, STAGING, DEMO, and PROD environmentsDesign, implement, and maintain databases needed to support applicationsCreate and maintain automated software build processesProvide input during Sprint planning and as needed during Sprints on coding and database designDemo new product features from time-to-time during Sprint review meetingsParticipate in daily Scrum meeting and providing updates on user story progressParticipate in Sprint retrospectives to foster the team's continuous improvementEnsure adherence to company best coding practices in code reviews and unit testingOccasionally providing developer-level support to client services teams for issues that may arise from time-to-timeProvide support to QA and the product release team during new feature deployments to productionIntegrate application source into a single source code repository (currently GitHub)Ensure applications' successful operations throughout DEV, QA, Staging, Demo, and Production environmentsShow a strong desire for continuous learning and maintaining one's certifications for example the requisite for a company's Microsoft partnershipPosition Type and Work Schedule:This is a full-time position that requires participation in product deployments which can occasionally occur outside of normal work hours.Travel:This position requires minimal, less than 1% travel.Education and Experience:Bachelors' degree or higher preferred in a technology related field.5 or more years' experience in .Net development or related frameworkImplementation and practice of Scrum MethodologyArchitecture and design of client-server applications and application developmentDevelopment in .Net C# and TDD/BDD with CI development practicesWCF REST and SOAP Web ServicesVoiceXMLMVCJavaScript, AJAX, Angular, HTML, XML, CSS and Responsive UIWindows Services developmentTransact-SQL and MS SQL Server managementSource control: GitHub, Git, VSS, TFS, SVNIDEs: VisualStudioApplication Servers: MS IISSelenium integration testing, SOAP and REST WS testing (eg SoapUI)Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
