Job Description Nurse Manager - Ambulatory Surgery Operating Room Summary Seeking a registered Operating Room Clinical Manager in our ambulatory surgery center who provides clinical management and expertise over operating room nurses, surgical technicians, and central sterile processing staff to ensure patients receive high quality, efficient care. We perform a broad range of procedures. Our center is AAAHC accredited. We offer services in gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, oral, orthopedic, otolaryngology, plastics, podiatry and urology. As an operating room clinical manager, you will have the opportunity for future growth and upward mobility within the organization. 35 (direct reports to this role - includes RNs, Surg Techs, and Central Sterile Techs) 6 ORs and 3 procedure rooms Functions Manages and supervise all surgical areas of care Ensures that the day-to-day operations are conducted in accordance with clinical practice standards and policies of the Center Ensures sufficient staffing daily by notifying your team of scheduling changes Participates in the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care provided Accessible to your staff by providing breaks, ensuring coverage for meal breaks, late cases and staffing shortages Monitors the clinical area to ensure materials are provided for upcoming cases Facilitates effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures Ability to build trust and gain the respect of your team through effective leadership Requirements Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor or Master's in Nursing strongly preferred. 3 years direct RN experience; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center surgical setting. 1 year clinical supervisory experience in the operating room OR team leadership, needs to be able to function in a room as needed (breaks/lunches) Virginia RN license or Compact and eligible for Virginia license BCLS Certification upon employment CNOR preferred.
