Westat has a newly created opportunity for an HR Generalist in its Field Human Resources team. Our Field Human Resources team is responsible for providing HR and Staffing support for Westat's diverse data collection projects throughout the U.S.  Field projects use data collectors to conduct in person interviews, school based assessments, roadside observations and much more. Westat data collectors are the critical front line for our clients, obtaining the data at the source. In this role you will use your broad HR and employee relations experience to support our Field HR Management and internal clients in a non-traditional HR environment. You'll be adept at collaboration and confident in working with staff at all levels, including senior management.  

Job Responsibilities:
•    As an Employee Relations advisor, support onboarding and vendor management.  This will include coordinating with vendors, sharing benefits information, and coordinating staff performance evaluations.
•    Contribute to revision of the Field HRIS protocols and functionality.  
•    Advise projects on COVID protocols and monitoring guidelines.
•    Monitor and authorize bonus programs for Field staff.
•    Coordinate quarterly meetings for Field HR advisory committee.
•    Advise and monitor timekeeping and expense program updates.

Basic Qualifications:
•    Associates degree in Human Resource Management or a related field and 7 years of experience in an HR environment or a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field and 5 years of experience in an HR environment.
•    Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Work, Excel and Powerpoint.

Preferred Qualifications
•    HR or Recruiting experience in a government contracting environment.
•    Multi-state employment law and regulation knowledge.
•    OFCCP compliance.
