Job Description

Job Duties:

Maintain and build new interfaces, programs and processes for financial, production and advertising systems. Work in an agile environment. Lead customer-focused efforts to analyze business data. Enhance reporting capabilities and data visualization to drive and support business decisions. Own the end-to-end process of problem identification, solution, development and deployment. Work in tandem with business partners to build leading products that have a material impact on The Washington Post and the industry. Develop and support system interfaces and processes in an enterprise environment. Query performance tuning, develop and maintain stored procedures, and develop automated reporting and tasks. Job is in Washington, DC.



Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Systems Software Analyst; 5 years of experience designing and developing applications using C, C++, Java, and NodeJS; 5 years of experience designing, data modeling, and implementing business applications using Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle products, utilities, and tools; 5 years of experience designing and developing database objects; and 5 years of experience building test environments and performing backups, restores, data refreshes, security and user management, and performance tuning. All experience may be earned concurrently.
