Adventist HealthCare has partnered with Howard University Hospital to help strengthen the hospital's presence in the District of Columbia, as such, the role will play a key role in ensuring that goal is met. The successful candidate thrives in a dynamic business environment, can manage multiple priorities with varying deadlines, and is able to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders in order to drive financial performance.

• Assist in business development analysis and initiatives (i.e. pro-forma analysis, ad-hoc analysis, coordination of efforts, etc.)
• Perform variance analysis and identify performance drivers (i.e. budget to actual, year-over-year, projections, etc.)
• Assist in development and compilation of routine deliverables (capital budget, labor requests, productivity reports, etc.)
• Support monthly close processes.
• Ad hoc reporting, including integrated revenue/expense analyses, statistical analysis, and other reports as needed.
• This position is part of the Financial Planning Team with regular and constant interface with hospital leadership.

•Bachelor's degree in business, finance or health related field, Masters prepared preferred.
•3+ years of work experience in financial planning and analysis required. •Working knowledge of health care industry and/or hospital operations preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and budget/forecasting software.
• Ability to work independently and interact with members of varying management and employee levels throughout the organization.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Work Schedule:
