Team Leaders are responsible for front line staff delivery of exceptional member service through their assigned branch. The Team Leader is an important member of the branch leadership team, directly supervising, training, and assuring quality control over the activities of the Member Service Representatives (MSR) I, II and III staff. Team Leaders are responsible for meeting member service standards and sales management goals.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced knowledge of the core processing systems, check negotiation and cash handling along with Federal Regulations required by the National Credit Union Association (NCUA)
  • Strengthen Member and Business relationships
  • Contribute to overall branch productivity goals
  • Promote the credit union and membership growth through community involvement
  • Perform advanced marketing and cross-selling activities
  • Meet and exceed team scorecard and performance management metrics
  • Mentor front-line, MSR I to III, branch staff for the purpose of achieving team and personal success
  • Professionally develop and review assigned staff
  • Meet MSR I to III standards, including balancing the branch daily and reporting differences according to Northwest Federal's reporting procedures
  • Analyze, evaluate, approve and fund loans according to NWFCU Lending policy
  • Provide notary services
  • Act as Assistant Treasurer in the absence of management including Signature Guarantees
  • Open and close the branch under dual control and/or operating the branch in the absence of branch management
  • Respond and report service incidents and their positive resolutions
  • Develop branch schedules to ensure adequate coverage for unexpected events, training and Saturday hours ensuring a high level of efficiency and member service
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)


Qualifications

  • Bachelor\u2019s Degree preferred, or equivalent years of experience
  • A minimum of two years\u2019 experience in a financial services environment required
  • Prior supervisor experience desired
