The role…

As we continue to grow, The Washington Post is hiring a Senior Technical Recruiting Consultant to support our growth hiring initiatives for ArcXP. This Senior Technical Recruiting Consultant will be responsible for resume reviewing, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews and serves as a brand ambassador to the external market. This person will partner closely with other recruiters across the company to manage the development and execution of hiring strategies. This role will play an important part within the talent acquisition team to ensure that we are hiring the best talent for the organization, while creating a unique and positive candidate experience.

What you will do…
  • Actively source and screen applicants and passive candidates for positions in ArcXP
  • Manage an active requisition load of 20+ requisitions regularly
  • Conduct hiring plans for newly assigned requisitions
  • Expertly assess candidates' behavioral competencies, motivational fit, and technical skills
  • Utilize online social and professional networking sites to connect with passive candidates
  • Meet and consult with hiring managers and key internal clients for hiring plan meetings, candidate reviews, and interview calibration sessions
  • Manage offer negotiations and ensure equity for salary offers
  • Consult with hiring teams and make recommendations for the best possible talent to match the needs of the organization by using data and interview feedback
  • In partnership with the recruiting leader, prepare and present regular recruiting updates on open positions, candidate pipelines, and recruiting strategies
  • Advise and consult leadership on hiring and other HR related matters
  • Maintain the integrity of the ATS system; experience with Workday ATS highly preferred
  • Consistently deliver a positive candidate experience


Skills you have…
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; relevant work experience considered
  • Five or more years of full cycle recruiting for technical positions; experience recruiting for SaaS companies is preferred
  • Recruiting in a corporate recruiting environment is highly preferred
  • Experience working with Workday Recruit is highly desirable; experience working within an applicant tracking system is required
  • Experience managing 20+ active requisitions regularly is required
  • Versed in behavioral based interviewing models is highly preferred
  • Experience recruiting nationally and internationally highly preferred
  • Experience sourcing passive candidates for difficult-to-fill positions
  • Adept at building relationships & trust with hiring managers and candidates
  • Navigates ambiguous situations comfortably and readily tries new approaches
  • Proven ability to multi-task, handle numerous client job openings at one time
  • Strong customer service skills including detail orientation & follow up with clients and candidates
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team atmosphere
