POSITION DESCRIPTION:  The Coordinator for Esports is a full-time, professional exempt staff position with full benefits.  The position will have responsibility for the management, coordination, and supervision of a recreational gaming & competitive esports program. The Coordinator will manage University Recreation & Wellness (RecWell) premier team operations, events, livestream production plus social media. The Coordinator works cooperatively with others in Student Affairs and various departments across campus to facilitate esports activities. Specific responsibilities include; scheduling gaming facilities to include informal recreation, premier team, club, intramural, camp, academic and special events. The Coordinator will manage our competitive RecWell esports premier team including scouting, tryouts, recruitment and incentives. The Coordinator will perform basic IT gaming maintenance tasks and troubleshooting. The Coordinator will supervise the gaming center student support staff, and work with University staff, sponsors, community leaders and vendors in areas of academic use and social engagement.
