The American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) is a not-for-profit membership organization, whose members conduct basic and clinical pharmacological research and work for academia, government, pharmaceutical companies, small bio-tech companies, and non-profit organizations. Our members work in a variety of different fields, and their research efforts help develop new medicines and therapeutic agents to fight existing and emerging diseases.

Position Summary:

ASPET is seeking an outstanding Marketing and Communications Coordinator to support the Society’s communications efforts, including but not limited to, social media, quarterly magazine, email newsletter, email marketing, and online community to build awareness and engagement for ASPET with key constituents. This individual will contribute to existing marketing programs, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with ASPET’s strategic plan. Candidates should have experience coordinating, creating, and implementing effective marketing communications, as well as experience in coordinating the production and editorial process of a news magazine and/or newsletter. Candidates must also have expert knowledge of managing a social media program.

The ideal Marketing and Communications Coordinator will have superior communication and organizational skills. They must be able to multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and bring creative solutions to the team.
