Responsibilities

The incumbent serves as the Branch Chief in the Logistics Compliance Branch, Asset Logistics Division. The incumbent will manage a branch involving such diverse areas of logistics to include Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Act and DHS Financial Accountability Act compliance audits; internal audit programs related to inventory policy, supply chain management and physical inventory accuracy; approvals for Operating Materials and Supplies (OM&S) materiality transactions; external liaison on all matters related to audit compliance and SFLC supply policy and procedural issues; and oversight of SFLC, C5I Service Center, and SILC integration of new material into OM&S inventory.

-Directing all functions of the Internal Control Program Audit Section, Cataloging and General Stores Section, and Retail Inventory Management Section.

-Coordinating SFLC Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Act and DHS Financial Accountability Act compliance audits.

-Conducting internal audit program.

-Overseeing all internal inventory policy and supply chain management; and manage the physical inventory accuracy of the SFLC records for wholesale and retail inventories.

-Approving all Operating Materials and Supplies (OM&S) materiality transactions.

-Acting as external liaison on all matters related to audit compliance and SFLC supply policy and procedural issues.

-Serving as the Chairman of the SFLC Supply Board providing technical authority as SFLC's Supply Officer and liaison to the SFLC Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) Board. Generate periodic message traffic to the field via supply advisories.

-Providing oversight to SFLC, C5IT Service Center, and SILC as the SFLC Supply Officer for integration of new material into SFLC inventory.

Qualifications

Candidates at the GS-14 level must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal service. Examples of specialized experience include: providing logistics management support functions for engineering and industrial activities; maintaining and refining automated systems that track the resource location and disposition of projects; resolving logistics support problems; and recommending methods and techniques to improve logistical operations, plans, and projections. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work
