Summary

About the Position: The position is with the Communications Security Logistics Activity (CSLA) Directorate, Cryptographic Systems Division and has unique placement to work directly with PM Tactical Radio, Product Lead Communications Security at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position provides expert logistics management for a complex major weapons system during the acquisition phase and into sustainment.

Responsibilities

  • Directs, develops, and performs logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for major complex systems.
  • Responsible for cradle to grave intensive logistics management to support a complex, major weapons system from concept through field deployment.
  • Plan or develop integrated logistics activities supporting the Centers Integrated Sustainment Logistics Production and Readiness mission.
  • Provide input to acquisition or integrated Logistics Support plans.
  • Analyze relations between technical aspects of the total Integrated Support (ILS strategy).
  • Analyze performance metrics to detect trends or isolate causes for declining performance.
  • Resolve differences between military services/agencies to achieve Integrated Logistics Support objectives.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the NH-03 position, applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower pay band of NH-02 or GS-11 equivalent grade level which includes 1) Experience in Interpreting or reviewing logistics policy/regulatory guidance for all aspects of Life Cycle Integrated Logistics Support (ILS); 2) Experience in using automated data processing concepts, systems capabilities, and economic usage to effectively complete assignments and 3) Experience in managing integrated logistics support activities for major weapons systems.
