Duties

Summary

Many positions within FMWR- Business Operations Division, at the Bowling Center, Golf Club and Lee Club.

Positions are Flexible. FLEX positions can be worked anywhere between 0 - 40 hours per week. Hours are not guaranteed.

There will be biweekly cutoffs, any eligible applicants will be referred to management at that time until the position(s) is filled.

Responsibilities

  • Working alone or with the assistance of a higher-grade cook or supervisor, prepares a variety of foods and desserts according to menu requirements.
  • Follows recipes to prepare items such as soups, stews, casseroles, and hamburgers. Ay also make adjusts for larger or smaller quantities as needed
  • Roast a variety of meats such as beef, pork, fish, and poultry. Grill and deep fries foods. Broils and steams foods.
  • Makes sandwiches, prepares eggs in a variety of ways. Makes coffee, tea, and fruit drinks.
  • Operates kitchen equipment designed to mix and cook food items. Uses, cleans and maintains power kitchen equipment. Maintains personal hygiene.
  • Duties will include line cook, banquet cook, snack bar cook and or short order cooking. Performs other duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a medical examination.
  • Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • A complete health screening is required.
  • This position may include nights, weekends and holidays as required.


Qualifications

A minimum of 6 months of work experience directly related to the duties described above, that included skill in working with professional kitchen appliances and equipment. Be able to communicate (verbal and written) in English.
