Responsibilities

This position is located in the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Cybersecurity Division (CSD).

The primary purpose of the position is to serve as the IT Cybersecurity Specialist (DATAMGMT).

Typical work assignments include:
  • Leads various cross-functional efforts and develops data integration & architecture strategies to shape the future technical direction of Cybersecurity Division in accordance with its assigned mission.
  • Leads and develops the data architecture direction for Cloud solutions as well as influencing peers to achieve cross-functional visibility.
  • Advise other IT experts through the agency or in other agencies on a variety of situations and issues that involve applying or adapting new architecture strategy, standards, methods, or practices.
  • Collaborates on data architecture and builds data schemas, data dictionaries and reports for various cybersecurity applications with security, infrastructure, operations, and development teams.
  • Implements a next-generation interoperable integration data architecture solution utilizing data virtualization technologies to support both real-time streaming and scheduled batch processing use cases.

Qualifications

You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess information technology related experience demonstrating each of the four required competencies:

  • In addition to the above requirement you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level performing the following duties: 1) developing and implementing data mining and data warehousing programs; 2) developing data standards, policies, and procedures for review and approval; 3) analyzing data and information sharing requirements to meet data and information sharing requirements; and 4) making recommendations regarding data resource allocations and overseeing the implementation of long-range data plans.
