Responsibilities

Assist NF4 Systems Analyst in the process of supporting all systems related to Merchandising for daily operations to include monitoring system performance, interface processing, and job processing. Assist in documenting process flows and developing/maintaining application support documentation. Assist in monitoring and resolving HelpDesk issues. Works with internal Database Administrators, UNIX Administrators and Windows Administrators on any system issues.

Executes tests scripts within all functional testing cycles (unit, application, user acceptance, integration, capacity, and dress rehearsal capacity) in cooperation with the end user.

Provides level 1 end user support. Coordinates level 2 support with Systems and Business Analyst. Identifies and, where possible, corrects problem using documentation supplied by System and Business Analyst. Works with all team members, technical and functional, to meet objectives. Maintains communication with team members and team leaders.

Effectively supports the Marine Corps Equal Employment Opportunity and Sexual Harassment policies, and ensures compliance with fire, safety, and other environmental issues and programs. Maintains and enforces security of funds, merchandise, supplies and equipment to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud, waste and abuse. May travel to perform assigned duties. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.

This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required

EVALUATIONS:

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field appropriate to the work of position OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

Knowledge in the following a plus: UNIX, Relational Database Management Systems, SQL, Java J2EE, middleware technologies and understanding of retail business functions and processes.

As an authorized and privileged user of Department of Defense Information Systems must possess or receive Information Assurance awareness by completing the Security+ Certification as a condition of access within six months of employment, and thereafter must complete annual Information Assurance awareness training.

Eligible for incremental telework as determined by MR/MF policy.
