PA, Executive Communications & Associate Engagement

Capital One is looking for an energetic, creative and strategic communication and program management professional to join our Card Tech Chief of Staff team. The Executive Communications & Associate Engagement Manager will drive internal communications for the Decisioning Platforms and US Card Segments organization, which is rapidly growing.
On the Chief of Staff team, you will be responsible for working with key executives and their leadership team to understand areas of need and build sustainable communications strategies designed to share the vision of the organization as well as engage, empower and inspire associates.

This position requires exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills; experience consulting executives; the ability to lead projects and work with multiple stakeholders or partners to meet objectives; and a proven track record of building trusted relationships and influencing key stakeholders to achieve the best results with associates, customers and the business in mind.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive the executive communications strategy that will bring the Decisioning Platforms and US Card Segments narrative to life through creative storytelling and engaging experiences including executive-led meetings (virtual or in person), digital/video storytelling and special
  • Manage key partnerships, including interacting and communicating with stakeholders across all levels to inform and influence outcomes
  • Plan and prepare effective, thoughtful and engaging internal communications that educate, inform, connect with and inspire leaders and employees, including development of talking points and reviewing/preparing presentations
  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking and excellent problem solving skills with the ability to pivot in real time and provide clear recommendations in an ever-changing environment
  • Provide counsel and lead thoughtful change management communications in support of the business
  • Ensure communications are viewed through the lens of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, including consulting leaders and engaging enterprise experts, tools and resources as needed
  • Evaluate performance for communications based on key metrics and recommend refinements to communications strategies, messaging, and channels/forums
  • Partner with and influence internal partners as needed in the best interests of the business and associates

Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in communications
  • At least 5 years of project, process, change or event management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing/public relations, English or journalism
  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • 3+ years of experience with executive-level clients OR with HR communications
  • Experience working with multiple constituents, including peers, executive management, senior management
