DescriptionThis program creates the opportunity for participants to earn their Class B Commercial Drivers License, complete the Chaney hiring process, and become employed as productive Concrete Delivery Professionals.ObjectiveProvide focused training to give participants the skills they need to earn their Class B-Commercial Drivers License. You will be qualified for positions as Concrete Delivery Professionals after completion of the training.FormatCandidates will learn the skills required to become a Concrete Delivery Professional in a hands-on environment in preparation to get their commercial drivers license.CriteriaMust be 21 years of age.Must have a valid Drivers License. Class B Learners permit with no provisions is preferred.Must agree to one year commitment of employment upon completion of training.Must have a satisfactory driving record with no more than 2 points on current record.Must certify that during the 2-year period immediately prior you have not had:More than 1 license or had any license suspended, revoked or canceled;Any conviction in any type of motor vehicle for major qualifying offenses including but not limited to a felony involving the use of a motor vehicle or more than one conviction in any type of motor vehicle for serious traffic violations;Any violation of state or local law relating to motor vehicle traffic control arising in connection with any traffic accident;Any conviction for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.Must have satisfactory job references.Must pass a DOT physical.Must have a negative pre-training and pre-employment drug/alcohol test.Must have reliable transportation.Must have steel toe boots (with ankle support).Must be able to read, write and speak English sufficiently.
