Atlantic Tractor, recently certified as a Great Place to Work by the Great Place to Work Institute, is looking for a Payroll Specialist / Assistant Controller to join the Accounting department at its store in Salisbury, Maryland. Responsibilities : Process all aspects of Bi-weekly payroll for 350+ employees, including deduction changes, allocation changes, terminations and rate increases. Prepare payroll reports on a weeklyl, bi-weekly, monthly basis, as well as on demand by management. Reconcile daily cash and credit card transactions for all locations. Assist Controller with a variety of monthly reconciling duties such as; company-wide bank statements, John Deere statements for all locations, anothe other accounts on demand. Train and serve as backup for the budget accounting specialist. Prepare monthly warranty schedules for outstanding warranty receivables. Assist the entire accounting team with daily tasks as needed. Tasks may include but are not limited to A/P and A/R processing, account reconciliations, general ledger posting, organization, filing and scanning or accounting documents. Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred. Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience required, ADP preferred. Strong knowledge and understanding of proper accounting terms, procedures, classifications and codes. Strong data entry skills. Team-player mentality.
