Front Desk Administrative Assistant - $16.00/hour, FT, M-F - day shift Springfield, Virginia Be a team player with a positive and cheerful attitude that connects everyone together. Must be computer literate and has the ability to follow directions, instructions, rules, policies and procedures. Must be always professional and possess excellent presentation and communication skills. Professional and well groomed appearance is essential. Responsibilities: * Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the front desk. * Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls to the appropriate manager or staff * Ensure Lobby and elevator lobby areas are tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (eg, pens, forms and brochures) * Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email. * Receive, sort, log, and distribute daily mail / packages / deliveries. * Maintain security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue, and visitor parking passes. * Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing. * Ability to be on feet standing for 2-3 hours. * Ability to lift 25lbs on occasion. * Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative * Hands-on experience with office equipment (eg, fax machines and printers) * Professional attitude and appearance * Effective written and verbal communication skills * Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise * Excellent organizational skills. Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. * Customer service oriented * High school diploma or equivalency * Two (2) years of customer service experience preferred. * Demonstrates working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook * Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required. * Punctuality is a must.
