Explore your future and launch your career today.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Strategy & Business Development (SBD) Director for a portfolio of programs in the Civil and Commercial Satellites (CCS) Business Unit (BU). The ideal candidate will develop the business unit's strategy in support of the BUVP, deploy those strategies across the BU's operating units, and craft investment plans to facilitate technological differentiation, and to enable effective marketing & sales and bid & proposal activities. The SBD Director will provide direction on the sustainment and organic growth of existing business development targets / programs as well as developing and leading the future business capture strategy in space systems and adjacent markets. This position will work closely with a team of functional and program professionals as well as other industry and government partners. This position could potentially require up to 50% travel.This individual may work in one of the following locations: Dulles, VA (preferred) Redondo Beach, CA Gilbert, AZ Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to: Customer relationship management/interfacing, briefing/white paper preparation and delivery, proposal development, and developing/delivering executive-level briefings. Translating customer needs into specific requirements, identifying/tailoring company services and solutions into offerings, and managing captures to effectively market the business unit's products and capabilities to meet those needs. Overseeing all aspects of business development activities for CCS, including developing and executing growth strategies, identifying new business opportunities, establishing pursuit priorities, gaining and growing customer intimacy, and developing successful capture plans. Leading or supporting pursuit and capture efforts and assisting Proposal Managers with the development of proposals to respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for procurements across CCS space programs. Broad, strategic thinking with respect to emerging customer needs, competitive positioning, requisite capabilities, and the tactical moves necessary to enable the company to capture opportunity in the market. Knowledge and experience with space systems. Knowledge of the NASA and DoD acquisition processes. Current/active Top Secret and SSBI security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Well-established contacts and/or familiarity with USG customers in the NASA and DoD. Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM). Proven experience with acquisitions and/or business development. Experience leading and managing geographically dispersed teams. Experience in program planning, budget development and execution; contracting, workforce staffing, risk management, and the implementation of project processes and controls. Salary Range: 151088 - 262416 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
