About the Role As the GL Accountant, you will report to and assist the Accounting Manager and Accounting Director in the day-to-day accounting and the monthly close process. You will be responsible for managing accounting records, account reconciliations and performing financial analysis and will continually look for opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes. You will also be responsible for collecting data; preparing financial statements and other financial reports; and providing support to accounting team members for business transactions. In this role you will also be expected to: Analyze general ledger data and search for inconsistencies, then reconcile inconsistencies and devise solutions to errors Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses and propose and record necessary adjustments to the general ledger Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies Prepare account reconciliations (including, but not limited to inventory, capital labor, prepaid expenses, bank reconciliations) to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance and record necessary adjusting journal entries Assist the accounting team in the day-to-day accounting and monthly close process Lead special projects related to accounting process improvements and implementation Work with other staff and departments to resolve questions and problems by researching and interpreting data Manage the preparation and provide work papers to external accountants and respond to any questions regarding audit and tax work Create timely and accurate accounting reports and submit them to company's management Develop and document new and existing business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Manage international, multi entity consolidations, including eliminations and multiple currencies Understand inventory costing for accurate cost of goods reporting and reconciliation About You Bachelor's in accounting and 3+ years of accounting/finance experience. CPA preferred Strong proficiency in Excel financial reporting skills. Netsuite experience is desirable Have the ability to produce consistently high-quality work, independently and with minimal errors and supervision.
