Plant Operator / HVAC - TS/SCI REQUIREDJob Category: FacilitiesTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCIEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 25%Type of Travel: LocalCACI is seeking a Sr. Plant Operations Technician / Physical Plant Operator to support our mission critical G4GIL program in Fort Belvoir and Springfield, VA.What You'll Get to Do:As the selected candidate, you will be the first responder to any mechanical or electrical issue that arises during your shift within the entire building. We have 3 shifts available. You will have a good understanding of large scale operation of each of the following systems: Boilers, Chillers, Primary and Secondary pumping, Cooling towers, Generators, ATS, Switchgear, Domestic water booster pumps, BAS Controls, Fire alarmsMore About the Role:Operates and maintains mechanical and electrical equipment (eg chillers, pumps, valves, cooling towers, boils, motors, exhaust fans, control systems, etc) in facility physical plantInspects, monitors, troubleshoots, tests, calibrates and documents plant operations and processes by reading plant equipment gauges, dials, graphs, meters, controls systems, and other instrumentation.Performs inspections on mechanical and electrical systems and components (eg chillers, pumps, valves, cooling towers, boilers, piping, heating units, controls systems etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs and recommend or perform preventive maintenance. Cleans, lubricates, and repacks the working parts of the system.Tracks performance of routine and preventative maintenance to ensure availability of physical plant mechanical and electrical equipment.Respond to service calls and preventive maintenance inspections and produce reports in writing through computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) regarding malfunctioning/inoperable equipment.Performs day to day operations of variety building operations systems as needed including Tridium Niagara Open Framework controls system and other common closed framework controls system such as JCI, Metasys, etc.Responds to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve issues. Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures of plant mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.Independently perform recurring work on exhaust fans, boilers, air handlers, pump, motors, air dryers, chilled water distribution and other related HVAC equipment including control and monitoring systems.Works with engineering or scientific personnel to discuss plans, modifications, and user needs. Reviews available plans, specifications, or drawings; determines the size, shape, and location of equipment.Provides critical advanced technical knowledge in support of unique security requirements inherent in Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) operations including sound baffling techniques/equipment and the resolution of compromising electrical currents, as sustainment of high system availability rates.Produces classified technical documentation outlining in depth technical findings and recommendations.Performs system and subsystem diagnostics and scheduling and maintaining complex electronic environmental systems, calibration, and lubrication of unique components and controls that are used to provide and monitor precise environmental conditions within SCIFs housing unique military intelligence equipment, scientific devices, and technologies.Responds to off-duty (evening and weekend) calls to support critical system outages and to provide rapid fault isolation and resolution concerning environmental factors affecting ISR system performance to include developing technical documentation for ISR support system layouts.Able to maneuver in small spaces and lift up to 50lbs.You'll Bring These Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent and 8 years' experience in mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance.Four years' experience working with Direct Digital Controls system is highly desired.A valid Master HVAC license at a State level.Certified to handle CFCs and other refrigerants.Ability to plan, install, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment and systems not fully covered by technical manuals, schematics, etc.4 years' experience with HVAC control and monitoring systems and their components.Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Required to meet US Government accepted and industry standards criteria for technically complex computer environmental systems, uninterrupted power distribution systems, and power control equipment.US Citizenship and Active TS/SCI clearance is requiredWhat We Can Offer You:We've been named a Best Place to Work by the Washington Post.Our employees value the flexibility at CACI that allows them to balance quality work and their personal lives.We offer competitive benefits and learning and development opportunities.We are mission-oriented and ever vigilant in aligning our solutions with the nation's highest priorities.For over 55 years, the principles of CACI's unique, character-based culture have been the driving force behind our success.Company Overview: At CACI, you will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact by providing information solutions and services in support of national security missions and government transformation for Intelligence, Defense, and Federal Civilian customers.
