Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services (NGES) is seeking a Strategic Planner to join the ES Strategy & Business Agility organization, reporting to the Director of Strategic Planning. The selected individual will support and lead the development and communication of the Sector's long range strategy, corporate and sector level strategy deliverables, strategy communications, and integrated investment plan. Additionally, this individual will perform in-depth analysis of our environment, customers, and competitors; identification of key strategic issues, impacts, and actions required by the sector; development of the sector strategic direction and supporting strategic analysis; and development of options and paths.The selected applicant will become a trusted member of a team responsible for developing and managing the NGES' strategic plan and investment portfolio, providing relevant analyses to senior management, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and enabling NGES' core objectives through the innovative and strategy-driven alignment of investments to strategy.The Strategic Planner will have a strong understanding of the key value drivers and industry dynamics of the Aerospace and Defense industry, the ability to self-start in a fast-paced organization, and the skills to evaluate and assess strategic priorities and options in order to optimally shape and provide oversight of the NGES strategic investment portfolio. The successful candidate supports the Strategic Planning Team to support the development and of service-line, PMO, and functional strategies with align with Sector Strategy that position NGES to achieve its long term objectives.Key Responsibilities Include:Conduct strategic assessments of financial plans, markets, competitors, pipeline, etc. to support the development and shaping of the Sector's multi-year investment portfolio in alignment with overall NGES strategySupport new development and maintenance of capabilities, strategic frameworks, and tools to prioritize, de-emphasize, shape, and manage the overall portfolioDevelop and administer multi-year strategic investment plans on a continuous, agile planning cadenceUse quantitative methods including modeling to assess investment scenarios, proactively manage investment execution, and to support decision makingSupport financial and business case analyses of proposed investments across the SectorDevelop presentation/briefings to executive leadership and senior stakeholdersQualificationsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, or Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of professional experienceKnowledge of, and experience in, strategic assessment, strategy development, or financial analysisDemonstrated experience with developing communications (word, PowerPoint) for and to be presented to all levels of the organizationDemonstrates executive presence when interacting with all levels of the organizationRobust experience with MS Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint and ExcelExperience working with cross functional teamsAble to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearancePreferred Qualifications3+ years of experience in strategic planning, portfolio development, and/or strategic assessmentCertified SAFe Lean Portfolio ManagerExperience with Lean Budgeting, funding value streams, and agile product deliveryStrategy and data analytics experience in the Aerospace and Defense industryStrong business acumen; ability to clearly communicate recommendations and analysis to senior level leadershipExperience in data analytics and visualization, including relevant tools, languages, and environmentsKnowledge and experience in the Aerospace, IT, and/or Defense IndustryUnderstanding of Northrop Grumman policy, process, and productsCurrent active DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearanceSalary Range: 92000 - 138000Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
