We're looking for an expert at crafting relevant, impactful, and thought-provoking stories scalable across multiple channels that engage our transportation planning, commercial real estate, and corporate audiences. This role is responsible for leading and executing the content strategy by authoring original thought leadership content that drives leads, increases social engagement, and amplifies our brand messaging.Alongside a growing and dynamic marketing team, you will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing and collaborate with the CEO to amplify the company's messaging. Our ideal candidate is a creative marketing or journalism professional with previous experience successfully leading a content program that helped attract and retain customers. Excellent communication, meticulous editing, and proactive project management skills are required.Your responsibilities:Full ownership of content strategy that consistently drives leads, increases engagement among target audiences, supports campaign messaging, enhances PR initiatives, and helps achieve marketing goals.Research, develop, and write original blog content, thought leadership pieces, articles, ebooks, whitepapers, case studies, social media posts, podcasts, video scripts, speech writing, and more.Assist in all copy needs for management, product, marketing and sales.Manage and drive SEO strategy.Maintain and grow social media presence and performance.Create editorial style guide to ensure a consistent brand voice and message.Build relationships with internal and external subject matter experts to inform content strategy and take advantage of third-party opportunities.Collaborate with marketing cohorts to generate targeted marketing campaigns.Proactively identify channels to amplify content and repurpose existing assets.Conduct regular content audits to refresh outdated content, retire assets, and identify gaps and new opportunities.Regularly report metrics and track ongoing impact of messaging and channel through identified KPIs; adjust strategy accordingly.The right candidate will have:Undergrad degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism or something similar.3-5 years of relevant experience (B2B SaaS experience preferred)Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholdersExperience and comfort with Search Engine Optimization and MOZComfort and experience with Wordpress and HubspotProficient in Google and Adobe Creative SuiteProblem-solving mentality with growth mindsetYou'll love working at TransitScreen because:We believe in empowering team members to do their best workWe care about career growth and learning opportunitiesYou'll have an outsized impact on the products we build and the company as a wholeWe engage in open dialogue about how to solve problemsWe're goal-oriented and mission-driven; we believe our products make the world a better place!Benefits you'll get:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceCommute Benefits: Pre-tax Metro, free Capital Bikeshare, discounted Zipcar and moreFlexible hours and unlimited PTOHybrid in-office hours (Monday and Friday WFH, Tuesday- Thursday in office)'Summer Fridays' through the end of the year!Weekly company lunch on Wednesday, snacks, and all the LaCroix and Diet Coke you can drinkWhere you'll work:We're located in downtown DC, in a beautiful newly renovated space in the 750 17th Street building with fitness center and roof deck just steps from the White House
