BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in a specialized area; or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance. Must be willing and able to obtain a polygraph within a reasonable amount of time after hire, with acceptable timing determined by manager. Applicants selected will be subject to a US Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. As the Network Administrator Intermediate, you'll focus on System Networking, which will include providing day-to-day communication/network security operation and maintenance of multiple secure network infrastructures. Essentially, you'll troubleshoot network architectures consisting of multilevel access and multilevel security platforms supporting distributed sites. We'll require you to configure, install, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, VOIP systems, video teleconferencing, and various other network and telecommunication components. You'll also troubleshoot and/or install 10/100/1000 Base T and fiber optic wiring as needed in support of network systems. What You'll Experience: Technologies that aren't just top-notch, they're often top-secret A team of bold thinkers committed to exploring what's next Opportunities to gain new knowledge - as it's discovered What You Bring To The Table: Bachelor's degree in a specialized area; or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree Hands on experience with UNIX/LINUX Clear understanding of routing protocols, TCP/IP protocols, security requirements and network communications What Sets You Apart: Developing familiarity with applicable DISA, IC, and coalition security requirements documents such as STIGS Clear understanding of CISCO Routers, Switches, WAN Protocols (EIGRP), QOS, LAN and Data Center Protocols (Spanning -Tree, Fabric-enabled technologies, VoIP to support Data, Voice and Video) Clear understanding of VTC systems to include Tandberg and Polycom General familiarity with DMVPM Hands-on configuration experience with KG-175's In this role you will: Provide day-to-day communication/network security operation and maintenance of multiple secure network infrastructures Design, develop, build, and test network engineering solutions as part of a team that introduces new technologies and/or improves existing technologies in compliance with established project management processes Lead major project initiatives and develop configurations using expertise in routing protocols, firewalls, datacenter protocols, security requirements and network virtualization Troubleshoot, develop and design network architectures consisting of multilevel access and multilevel security platforms supporting both CONUS and OCONUS sites Configure, install, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, VOIP systems, video teleconferencing, and various other network and telecommunication components Analyze and determine corrective action for secure data communications networks Proficient on SolarWinds NPM, IPAM, NCM, UDT, NTA, and Network Topology Mapper Implement US government COMSEC standards and practices Program, install, load, and troubleshoot KG-175 TACLANE Encryptors Understanding and implementation of Tempest standards Create/modify Microsoft Visio network diagrams Adapt to changing environments and coordinate large scale implementations using available resources Manage work tasks as assigned Monitor key system metrics to identify trends and analysis using networking monitoring tools, preferably SolarWinds #CJ3 #PL1 COMPANY OVERVIEW General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) engineers a diverse portfolio of high technology solutions, products and services that enable customers to successfully execute missions across all domains of operation.
